A good book, well written, proudly published and illustrated lavishly, is something I've enjoyed all my life. Browse through the books here, from my personal collection. What I think about each one is written beside its picture.
These are about home, painting, lighting, furnishing, decorating. I plan to show you about 20 books. Tropical style books from my INTERIORS page will move to this page soon. New sections on gardening, pet birds, knots, and shells are in the works too.
Pictures of the actual book were taken outside my house in late afternoon of a bright October day. Many of the books are large format, and do not fit on the flatbed scanner. Enjoy!!
Hands down, Jocasta Innes is my favorite author on this subject. Besides two editions of her PAINT MAGIC book, I have these by her too. All the books I will comment on are pictured on this page.
Sorry to say, I lost my other website when the host pulled the plug on everyone. My page there, INTERIORS, had some personal reviews of my favorite books about decorating and living the tropical casual style. I will recreate that page, but place the book reviews here.
